Glad you’ve joined us! Please feel free to leave comments. I’d love to hear from some of the lurkers who were unable to post comments on the Tripod blog. And here we go…

It’s been a tough morning for Linlee. Well, it’s also been a tough morning for mama. A word I have never used to describe my daughter before is “brat.” Linlee is a sweet natured, easy going, delightful toddler. Nothing about her is bratty. But today… (I’m sorry Linlee), my child has been behaving like a brat. Maybe she is not feeling well. Or maybe she is overly tired. Or maybe she is just being two. I don’t know what the reason, but Linlee has been out of sorts. My cute little peanut actually threw the remote at me when I wouldn’t give in to a second video this morning. I was stunned. She went on to throw two books (one aimed directly at me) when she wasn’t getting her way and actually began to cry when I sat down to play her piano. Who is this child? Thankfully she seems to have returned to her charming self upon getting up from her nap this afternoon. Still, I’m on the lookout for flying objects!

This was Linlee’s response when I sat down to play the family piano (which Linlee apparently thinks is for her fingers only)…

We actually went out in the drizzle to swing because I wanted to make sure that my sweet, happy girl still existed.

  • Oh, Colleen,,it sure does sound like you had a tough morning. Let’s hope that she was just having a bad moment, and that it won’t happen again. But,,,like you said; you’d better keep your eye out for flying objects. Bless your heart that you took her out into the drizzling rain to make sure that she was still going to be the same Linlee, and it certainly looks like she was!!!!!!! AND….oh yes; I do like the new site!!!!

  • Okay, may I be the first to say Yea I can comment!! Woo hoo!! I like the new site and look. We have those days too. It must be the thing for our Yugan cuties as Sophia is starting this stuff too. She is beginning to have a stubborn streak like no other!

    Hugs,
    Becky

  • You know that Rachel certainly has those moments. Today she was so angry that we wouldn’t let her desstroy a menu in a restaurant that she was HOPPING mad! She was so frustrated she literally was jerking! It’s not just the Yugan girls… maybe it is the Jiangxi girls. Or maybe it is just part of the lovely 2’s and 3’s! :) Glad Linlee turned back into her sweet self once she got to swing a bit.
Oh… and I love the new site!

  • First of all…love this. I had the hardest time commenting on the other one..it would only let me do it some of the time and it was time consuming..but you were so worth it lovey : )

Ok..I really thought that first pic was Annslee at first. I don’t think it is the terrible twos but the terrible two & a half to three & a half. Seriously, sometimes I think her head will spin around. Good luck, maybe yours is shortlived. Annslee is also very possessive of things even if they aren’t necessarily hers.

  • This is my first time here–we are in a phase of something too. And it happens when things don’t go her way. The sweet little girls are in there though:) I love your blog.

  • Colleen.. I love it!

and I’m just so relieved that someone else’s child acts like Jenna!!

    Laurie :>

  • LOVE the new site (and hopefully the fact that I will be able to post this comment). Welcome to the tantrums, we have been in full out “brat” mode for about 6 months now (luckily they are getting fewer and fewer every week…knock wood). Love the picture of her yelling while you play with “her” paino.

  • Like the look of the new blog! Linlee is adorable!
