Linlee & Rachel

We had Rachel over this afternoon.  The girls are at such a fun age.  I don’t know when Linlee will be able to truly interact with Rachel, but she clearly loves having a friend to do her favorite things with, like swinging or dancing in tutus, etc.  They had a really nice afternoon together. Sorry …

The Blue Spoon

Linlee and I both have a favorite spoon to cook with and unfortunately, it’s the same one!  Linlee is a big helper in the kitchen; she loves to stir anything I’m making with the blue spoon.  I swear, between the two of us, that spoon is used every single day.  I finally got online this …

“Call me.”

Isn’t she adorable?  Linlee’s cold is better.  I think she will be up for Marathon Monday tomorrow; occupational therapy, preschool and dance class.  Oh boy! By the way, Linlee isn’t nearly as pale as she looks in a lot of these pictures.  When I take a picture and load it on my computer, it’s vibrant …

Lil’ Sweetheart

Linlee has been the most delightful little girl for someone sick with a cold.  We canceled our play date with Anne & Rachel yesterday as we didn’t want to share the germs.  The last two days we’ve just been hanging out at home (wiping Linlee’s nose).  No news to report; just some pictures for the …

Well, that didn’t take long.

Linlee is sick.  Exactly like last year; two weeks of school and BAM.  It’s seems like a fairly minor cold so far.  She has three days to rest before Marathon Monday, so hopefully she will bounce back. From yesterday, I just loved the dainty way she was sitting:

It’s Autumn!

Hooray!!! Although, it doesn’t feel like autumn yet in Seattle.  September has been sunny and warm (aside from two rainy days).  But our nights have been crisp and the leaves are starting to turn.  I adore this time of year. Linlee did well at her second dance lesson.  She was very excited to go.  She …

A marathon, not a sprint.

I sometimes have to remind myself that dealing with autism is a marathon, not a sprint.  I want to sprint to the finish line and have Linlee lose her diagnosis.  It doesn’t work that way (at least not in our case).  She’s making such wonderful gains, but both Rob and I have also noticed some …

First Week

What a successful first week of school, therapies (3) and dance.  I’m really pleased for Linlee.  Yesterday and today she has been much more subdued (less animated, verbal and social) when we’ve been out and about.  She’s probably just worn out from her new busy schedule.  However, she did manage to snag herself some cheese …

Thursday (with words)

Now that Linlee is back in preschool and also has a busy therapy schedule, my mom says I’m sharing the wealth – the Linlee wealth, that is.  I adore my little girl, but I have to admit, this last week has been so much easier now that I am not her sole entertainer all day …

Wordless Wednesday

*** Apparently I’m going to have to add words.  Both grandmothers called in a panic when they saw my title and wanted to know if everything was okay.  Wordless Wednesday means enjoy the picture while I take a break from writing. No worries, everything here is just dandy!
