Pinklets

My mom is over for a quick visit.  She brought Linlee these neat toys called Pinklets.  They are sort of like the feminine version of Tinker Toys.

Hanging in there.

Linlee was delightful today, which was a nice change.  Rob is around and letting me takes lots of naps, so I’m starting to catch up on some exhaustion that got a wee bit out of control.  This is good. Freaky picture, huh?  Linlee was jumping for the camera. There is my sweet girl.

The Mommy Cup

Thanks for the support concerning Linlee and her trying behavior of late.  I wish it were only whining that I’m dealing with, but she doesn’t whine (yet).  She wails.  She howls.  She throws herself on the floor and cries at the top of her lungs as if someone has just lit fire to the soles …

I signed up for this?

Linlee’s constant wailing and tantrums over the most ridiculous things are driving me insane.  (I probably shouldn’t have written a week or two ago that things are getting easier.  Those words are biting me in the butt.)  I’m suddenly daydreaming about putting the child in daycare and going to work at Starbucks or something.  Of …

Almost Better

I sent Linlee back to school today.  She’s not 100%, but could handle 2.5 hours of school.  And I needed the break.  Seriously.  I’m not 100% yet either and together, we are not the best combination right now.  In fact, I’m a tad cranky, so I’m just going to post a few pictures (because I’m …

Update

This was a wasted weekend.  Linlee stopped throwing up sometime Saturday afternoon.  She is bouncing back now, but we never left the house all weekend. Feeling pretty sick myself, I accomplished nothing.  Bah.

Commercial Freezer Jam

We love this stuff!  Linlee eats peanut butter and strawberry jam every single day.  This summer I made freezer jam from my strawberries and we were all thrilled with the results.  In the fall, I had to return to buying regular jam (we go through a lot and the strawberries in the grocery store became …

The adoption portfolio saga continues…

Where to start?  Yesterday we had a super visit with one of the directors from our adoption agency.  She dropped by to chat and go over a few more details of how the process (for a domestic adoption) works.  We came away feeling very positive about the agency we’ve chosen.  We believe they are working …

Girly Girl

In addition to wanting painted nails, Linlee has recently taken to wearing a blue, Nemo ring and her bracelet.  I think it’s so cute.  I love it that she is becoming such a girly girl.  (I would have loved a tomboy just as much, although, I might have found it baffling.)

“I want bwoo.”

I’ve had total freedom with Linlee’s wardrobe for the last four years and, let’s face it, I’ve had a lot of fun dressing her.  Luckily for me, she is still not too particular and I get to pick her outfit every day.  However, this morning when I began to put on a red and black …
