Linlee’s Teacher Conference

Linlee’s teacher conference was both positive and traumatic at the same time.  It was positive because Linlee is making good progress.  It was traumatic because Linlee was missing at the time.  Well, she wasn’t exactly missing; we knew she was on the school bus, however, the bus appeared to be missing.  Rob had worked from …

Different Babies

Of course Holly and Linlee are going to be different babies from each other; even biological sibs can be total opposites.  My two are no exception.  Linlee was the easiest baby in so many ways.  In particular, when she was learning to crawl and to walk, she did it well and rarely ever tumbled or …

Be back soon.

The truth is, my mother has been here this last week taking care of my family while I recover from a minor surgery (very minor, nothing to be alarmed about).  The trouble is, the recovery process is taking a while and I’ve been in a fair amount of pain.  Not really up to shooting pictures …

Um… ???

I really don’t know what to say about this ensemble.  I’m guessing she may not be suited for a career in fashion. And this little monkey took a break from practice-walking to tickle (pound on) the ivories:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

This cutie-petutie is actually half Irish (like me!).  Unfortunately, it’s not possible to get a happy picture of Linlee before school these days and that was the only time I had for taking pictures today.  However, you can click here: St. Patrick’s Day 2010 to see Miss Linlee sporting a shamrock headband.  I just realized …

What fun!

I never win anything.  I don’t.  It may have something to do with rarely entering contests, but even so.  I don’t tend to be “lucky” that way.  However, the other day I received an email from one of the authors of my favorite cookbook (The MediterrAsian Way).  She thanked me for writing a review on …

Visits to the doctor are terrifying.

That is Miss Holly’s new opinion.  She had her nine month well checkup today.  In the past, she has sat on my lap (or was cradled in my arms) and watched with curiosity as the doctor checked her out.  Today, not so much.  Being measured and weighed was apparently traumatizing and after that, anyone who …

More Piano Mantle

This morning I noticed that everything was pulled forward to the very front edge of the mantle and lined up perfectly straight. It’s hard to tell the difference in the picture, but it’s glaringly obvious in real life.  They way I have the mantle arranged, the pictures are angled and the items are actually staggered …
