Sunny morning!

Seattle is about to have a mini heat wave today and tomorrow.   The girls were ecstatic to be able to wear short sleeves & sandals to school.  I’m one of those mothers who actually insist that my children dress appropriately for the weather and apparently I’m a dying breed.  My girls usually wait a …

We’re still here!

Sorry for the little break.  It’s been an uneventful week and I’ve been sick the entire time (a wicked cold followed by my very first sinus infection – ugh).  The only thing I can think to talk about is taking the girls to see Rio 2 yesterday… It wasn’t quite the stellar success of Frozen.  Linlee …

Easter 2014

This year’s baskets included a video for each girl, jump ropes, light up bracelet, princess bath toy, painting book, new swim suit and chocolate eggs.  Oh, and sidewalk chalk.  We hid eggs with treats inside around the house for them to find as well.  I don’t think Linlee was totally awake when the morning’s festivities started. …

Charmed

Rob and I are spending our anniversary (#11) at this little lodge by the lake on San Juan Island.  We took a ferry this afternoon, leaving the girls in the care of their two, doting grandmothers.  (Apparently Holly’s eyes got huge when my mother was explaining to her how Rob and I were taking a …
