Holly’s 4 Year Well Checkup

Healthy girl!  Eye sight, great, hearing, great, and she is on target developmentally.  Holly is 44 inches, which puts her in the 99th percentile for height for children her age (tall!) and she weighs 54 pounds which puts her at the 100th percentile.  Her pediatrician talked about watching her weight.  Nuts.  I certainly don’t want …

Art Camp

Here is some of Linlee’s work. And Holly’s work.  It wasn’t until I got home that I realized Holly did two more projects than Linlee and they also happened to be the more interesting ones; the kite and the weaving.  I wish I could have asked what happened there. Holly and good friend, Zoey.  Zoey was …

Prodigy (what a hoot!)

Today our new four-year old finally got to have a “real” horseback riding lesson.  She has been waiting since she was one: And here was her expression when we said, “Not yet, baby, in a few years…” Today all that changed.  After Linlee’s lesson, it was Holly’s turn.  I knew the instructor was looking forward to working with …

Who’s on left?

Linlee is standing to the left of Holly.  Linlee is happy, Holly is not. Holly is standing to the left of Linlee.  Holly is happy, Linlee is not.  This has become a thing.  The left side is now coveted by both girls.  Nobody warned me that parenting was going to be so ridiculous at times. The …

Pretty Heart

I am so proud of Holly today.  She really helped me out.  We were at the grocery store and the girls went to sit on one of those carts which has seats for two older kids.  Holly took the seat on the left and Linlee began to fuss.  Linlee always has to be on the …

Last day at the hive…

Linlee calls school “the hive.”  The students are the bees and the teacher is the Queen Bee.  If ever I ask her what she did at school, she will answer, “I danced with the bees.”  Well, all the bees are now on summer break.  Today was the last day of third grade for Miss Linlee.  We …

Happy Father’s Day, Rob!
