Ho ho ho!

We enjoyed a Christmassy weekend.  The girls got to visit with Santa.  Linlee had claimed she was too old for Santa, but once she was sitting next to him, she became quite chatty (in between her excited giggles).  Holly had been tentatively looking forward to the visit (there’s always a chance Santa might bring up …

A is for Art

Linlee’s report card has remained the same since she started special ed in public school at age three.  She gets “Ps”.  That means progressing.  I always look forward to parent/teacher conferences so that I can hear about the details of her program and her personal progress, but opening her actual report card that comes in …

We were at Snoqualmie Falls just a day or two before this picture was taken.  My snapshot didn’t look nearly as dramatic as this one:Gorgeous!  (Surely there has to be some color enhancement going on there.)  This was mine:Meh.

Happy birthday to me!

I’ve not had an easy time embracing this particular number, but my sweet Rob made my birthday special by whisking me away for a little mountain retreat.  We started the evening at The Melting Pot for a fantastic fondue dinner and then headed to the Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls (AKA The Great Northern from …
